There are quite a few ways to do it, but widely available without a prescription and seem most effective for moderate fungal nail infection are the following treatments:
- Antifungal nail lacquer, such as Curanail (applied once a week for 9-12 months)
- Canespro - ointment tube and set of waterproof plasters (applied every day for 2-3 weeks)
- Weak solution of white vinegar - cheap and effective method: mix one part of white vinegar with two parts of water, soak the affected toe or just generously apply time to time solution to the affected toe nail by cotton bud for about 30 minutes daily after having a shower or bath, just before going to sleep. Do this until the fungus is gone. Although this method seems like quite a commitment it is very effective.
